<meta property="og:image" content="https://ogmake.com/i/{key}/{sig}?template=blog&title=Moving+my+blog+to+Hugo&description=Why+I+finally+left+WordPress+and+how+the+migration+went&site=yoursite.com">

An og:image is the picture a link shows when it is shared on Slack, X, Telegram, iMessage or any other app that unfurls links — without one, a shared link falls back to a generic thumbnail or no image at all. This tool renders that picture for you: it is a real 1200×630 PNG, the size every major platform expects for a full-width preview card, built from the title, description and site name you type above.

To use the image you download here, upload it wherever your site hosts images and add one tag to that page's <head>:

<meta property="og:image" content="https://yoursite.com/path/to/your-image.png">

Once that tag is live, the preview appears the next time someone pastes the page's link into a chat or a post — most platforms cache what they unfurl, so it can take a refresh or a new share to show up. This generator is free, needs no account, and adds a small watermark to the PNG. At launch, the API renders the same card from a URL; paid plans drop the watermark.

Need one for every page?

The API does this from a URL, without the watermark, for every page you publish. It is in private beta — leave an email and we will write once, when keys are ready. Nothing else, no newsletter.
